Once Upon a Time...
We met when we were living in Los Angeles, yes on a dating app, and realized we had lived on the same block for a year before we ever met each other. We quickly became friends and then realized we were perfect for each other.
Our first date was at Shatto 39 Lanes, a bowling alley in Koreatown that serves spicy margaritas and black Russians and has surprisingly great chicken tenders. We talked and talked in between rolling gutter balls and it felt pretty great. So great that we went on a second date, a third, a fourth, a hundredth, and within the year we moved in with each other because we couldn’t stand to be apart.
We weren’t perfect for each other at first- Autumn said she would never get a dog, John said he didn’t like musicals. We have been changing each other every day since. We moved across the country together this past year with our dog, two cats, and a shared love of show tunes.
We couldn't be luckier.
